M/T Rolf Williams Christening 11-20-2005

Hi All

I had the pleasure of capturing some images during the christening of the M/T Rolf Williams, the first double-hulled tanker of this size to be built in the U.S.  It was named for Rolf Anders Williams, former Honorary Consul to Norway and Sweden.

Firefall at the Suffolk Peanut Fest

Here are a few of the pictures I shot at the Firefall gig at the Suffolk Peanut Festival.  Although there was a light drizzle, it didn't dampen the enthusiam of the fans.  And the guys put on a great performance as usual.

WWHS Final Bldg Tour

These are a few of the pictures I shot on Saturday, August 20 of the final tour of the building that was used for Woodrow Wilson High School from 1955 to 1993.  It served as a junior high school from then until 2005, when it was closed for good and will be turned over to the City on September 1.

Scroll down for other entries to my journal.  Thanks.

From Tinseltown to Hometown

From Tinseltown to Hometown - Tribute to Johnny Grant and Anne Jeffreys

April 24, 2005 - Wayne Community College, Goldsboro North Carolina

I had problems viewing the pictures this weekend.  Give them a minute to load.  If they don't appear, please email me.

( These pictures were posted hurriedly so everybody could get a quick look-see.  I just downloaded them all straight from the camera for the time being.  I will be editing and updating within the next day or two. )

These were shot at the Tribute to Johnny Grant and Anne Jeffreys at Wayne Community College in their hometown of Goldsboro NC on Sunday, April 24.

Anybody with additional information or corrections please reply so I can update this journal.  Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.  I have most of the names and they will be added as I edit the pictures.

NOTE:  Some of these images are in high definition and large format causing the slide projector to get ahead of the loading of the picture.  Although it works better the second time around, viewing is easier by clicking View Larger and changing the picture as you wish.

WFF Thursday

These are the images from Thursday night.  Performance by The Virginia Rounders, carrying on the tradition started by Bobbie's dad, Willie Phelps and his brothers, Norman and Earl.  My mom and Anne Jeffreys were reunited after 70 years.  They were classmates in Goldsboro NC.  Johnny Grant, honorary mayor of Hollywood, was the president of the graduating class and Andy Griffith was a teacher at my mom's High School.  Anne and Johnny were honored in their hometown April 22-24.  See the entry above for pictures.

Since some of these images are large files, the slide projector advances before the image can fully load.  Click VIEW LARGER and advance manually for the first viewing.
