Cock Island Sailboat Race 2006

Today, the 19th annual Cock Island Race was held on the Elizabeth River, from 9 am to 3 pm.  There were over 100 participants in several different catagories.  Winds were South at 15 kts going out, but not so good on the return trip.  Some entrants dropped out due to lack of wind and a thunderstorm.  These pictures were taken at the start of the race.  http://portsmouthboatclub.org/
